Ely Tigers U14 Girls played with their cluster team as Tiger Saints in their league Quarter Final game against the Haverhill and Felixstowe cluster. The opposition took advantage in the first few minutes of the game to get points on the scoreboard.

Tiger Saints quickly worked together to even the score and were then matched try for try by a similarly experienced side. The snow kept falling thick and fast but the girls didn’t let it freeze their spirits. In the second half the Tiger Saints demonstrated their excellent teamwork again with solid scrums and holding their line.

The final whistle blew and the Tiger Saints were triumphant with a 65-14 win. Well done to all of the girls and especially Red who scored her first try in her debut game with Ely Tigers Girls. As was mentioned after the game by one of the coaches. Girls rugby was definitely a winner today.
