Last night we were honorued, as we always are, to be able to host the first fixture of this seasons Men's XV Eastern Counties Tri-Counties Cup, between Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

With the home side trailing 7-14 at half time to their Norfolk opposition, something different was required in the second 40 if Cambs were to get their title charge off to the best possible start.

Making his County debut from the bench at full back, Jake made the kind of impact we are used to seeing week in, week out, shutting out the opposition and attacking with his trademark purpose and flair. He finished the game with 12 points, helping Cambridgeshire secure a 29-14 victory.
