A great day had by all!

From Saints Ambassador Chris Holmes...

Yesterday saw the inaugural Saints Schools Cup take place at Ely Tigers. Six teams from four schools took part in a thrilling morning of rugby, with all showing great examples of the TREDS values we all believe in.

Whilst the competition was fierce, Fordham & Great Wilbraham Primary Schools were awarded the Spirit Award, for demonstrating great teamwork as well as respect for both teammates, opposition and officials. Not to mention dazzling skills on the pitch. Their reward for this is the chance to take part in the final of the Saints Schools cup against the other winners from other counties at Franklins Gardens in two weeks’ time.

Thanks must go to the schools, Millfield Primary, Ely St Johns, Fordham Primary and Great Wilbraham for agreeing to take part and their amazing teachers and coaches for working so hard with them to make them the super players they are. Special thanks also goes to Mr Crosbie and Ely College for again providing the super sports leaders from years 9 & 10 who coached and refereed the teams all morning. A final thank you goes to Matty and Sam and the whole of Northampton Saints for choosing our club to host this tournament and best of luck on Saturday.
