Sunday the 9th November saw just under 70 girls at Ely Tigers from all around the county, in a pitch up and play format, which saw the girls mixed into different teams upon arrival.
As the girls separate out at u12s many teams only have a few girls and mixing up the groups allows smaller teams and larger teams to compete with parity, as well as encouraging the creation of clusters (where multiple teams join to form a cluster squad) to allow a league to be formed.
Each team played three games and the girls showed great improvement as the games went on. This was helped by the amazing work of the referees and coaches that volunteered to lead these cluster teams. All the girls had a great day and we look forward to the next Pitch up and play at Wymondham next week.
